Lack of incoming values from a third party peripheral e.g. a mass spectrometer causes loss of logged data.

Ensure that live data is available from the peripheral device and is being sent via OPC from the associated software running the equipment. Any bridging software should then be activated and a check made that it is receiving data. Only then start the SCADA software.
