I am running eve^®on a network that has periodical network traffic issues (during backup or large files transfers).

Check with the IT department if interruptions in the main network due to traffic can be confirmed at the time of the problem. Isolating the SCADA computer/touch screen network from the main network is preferable whenever possible.
