The electrical network connections are unreliable, e.g. due to broken RJ45 locking tabs

Check all connections, especially that the Ethernet plugs have the small, plastic retaining clip in place. Otherwise it is very likely they will simply pull out during use e.g. just by the weight of the cable. Replace as necessary.
